Ranchi: Te students of Rural Management Programme of Xavier Institute of Social Service on Saturday attended a Central Government Programme at Dighiya Panchayat of Bero Block Ranchi during their rural visit.
The programme was about the "Simple Ways To Save Water" organised by the Central Ground Water Board, Ministry of Water Resource Government of India.
The Honourable Chief Guest was Padmshree Shri Shimon Oraon and Guest of Honour were Dr. Shudhanshu Shekhar (Senior Scientist Central Ground Water Board), Dr. Rajshree Verma (Associate Professor Xavier Institute of Social Service) and Md. Jaheed ( Deputy Head of Dighiya Panchayat).
It was an awareness program for the villagers of Dighiya Panchayat about the conservation of water and water resources as well as adoption of rainwater harvesting techniques.
The program was followed by a Jan Samwaad and a street play performed by the students of Xavier Institute of Social Services titled ",?????????, ????????????".
The programme concluded by presenting mementos to the Chief Guest and Guests of Honour.
