Cincinnati: World No. 1 Jannik Sinner powered into the Cincinnati Open semifinals with a commanding 6-0, 6-2 win over Felix Auger-Aliassime.
The Canadian 23rd seed faltered in the first set with 13 unforced errors, and though he opened the second set with a 2-0 lead, eight double faults and baseline struggles saw him quickly lose momentum. Sinner’s relentless consistency sealed the victory in just over an hour.
The Italian extended his hard-court winning streak to 25 matches, joining Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, and Andy Murray as the only men this century to achieve the feat. His last loss on the surface came in the Beijing final to Carlos Alcaraz last October.
Sinner, 30-3 this season and fresh off his maiden Wimbledon title, will face French qualifier Terence Atmane, who stunned Holger Rune after ousting Taylor Fritz, to reach his first ATP Masters 1000 semifinal.
