‘Made in India’ Galaxy Z Fold7 Sees Strong Demand from Tier 4 Cities and Beyond: Samsung

New Delhi – Samsung India announced on Thursday that its newly-launched Made in India Galaxy Z Fold7 is witnessing a remarkable surge in demand, not just from tier 3 markets, but also from tier 4 cities and rural areas, reflecting rising aspirations across the country and a resilient economy.

“The unexpected demand has prompted us to allocate stock of the Galaxy Z Fold7 to deeper pockets of Bharat. We’re extremely encouraged by this new interest emerging from tier 4 and beyond and will continue to cater to these markets with full commitment,” said Raju Pullan, Senior Vice President and Head of Samsung India.

According to the company, the Galaxy Z Fold7’s premium design — sleek, lightweight, and cutting-edge — has generated widespread excitement. Features like new color options, powerful flagship-level performance, and the integration of Galaxy AI have further enhanced its appeal.

Samsung revealed that the device is currently out of stock in some parts of the country due to soaring demand. To address this, the company is ramping up production at its Noida manufacturing facility.

Previously, Samsung India had reported a record 210,000 pre-orders for its seventh-generation foldables — the Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip7, and Galaxy Z Flip7 FE — within just 48 hours of launch in India, signaling the rapid mainstream adoption of foldable smartphones in the country.

“We’re working overtime to ensure sufficient stock of our most advanced smartphone so that customers can experience the Galaxy Z Fold7 as soon as possible. The demand is strong from both offline retail and online channels,” Pullan added.

The Galaxy Z Fold7, Samsung’s thinnest and lightest foldable yet, weighs just 215 grams — even lighter than the Galaxy S25 Ultra — and measures just 8.9 mm thick when folded, and 4.2 mm when unfolded.
