CJP Leaders Meet JP Nadda, Submit Three Key Demands Over NEET Paper Leak Issue

New Delhi: Representatives of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) met Union Minister JP Nadda at his residence on Monday and submitted a memorandum outlining three key demands related to the alleged NEET 2026 paper leak controversy.

CJP spokespersons Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka presented the party's demands during what both sides described as a cordial meeting. In response, Nadda urged the protesters to end their sit-in demonstration at Jantar Mantar and help restore normalcy in the high-security area near the Parliament complex.

The CJP has demanded the unconditional release of social activist Sonam Wangchuk, the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and compensation of Rs 1 crore for the families of NEET aspirants who allegedly died by suicide following the NEET 2026 paper leak.

The meeting comes after more than a month of protests by the satirical political group at Jantar Mantar. Sonam Wangchuk joined the agitation in support of the protesters about three weeks ago.

Speaking after the meeting, CJP spokesperson Saurav Das expressed concern over the alleged police action against protesters at the demonstration site. He urged the government to accept the group's demands, saying they reflected the aspirations of the country's youth.

JP Nadda later confirmed on X that the CJP delegation had submitted a written memorandum to him at around 4 p.m. He said the discussions began after the group approached the government for talks.

"Our discussions have been ongoing since 11:50 a.m. The meeting took place in a cordial atmosphere. An initial verbal discussion was held in detail with their delegation, and they submitted a written petition to me around 4 p.m.," Nadda said.

The Union Minister appealed to the CJP workers and volunteers to call off their protest, stating that the government had taken note of their concerns.

The CJP launched its protest at Jantar Mantar on June 6, alleging that repeated examination paper leaks highlighted serious flaws in the examination system. The group has accused the government of failing to implement effective reforms to prevent such incidents and ensure fair examinations.
