Ranchi: With just a couple of days left before Hemant Soren takes oath as the 11th Chief Minister of the state the Ranchi district administration is making full-swing preparations for the ceremony with senior officials themselves supervising the work.
Ranchi DC Rai Mahimpet Rey, SSP Anish Gupta, DDC Anany Mittal and Sadar SDO Lokesh Mishra visited the Morhabadi grounds and looked into the preparations.
The DC looked into the security arrangements and the sitting arrangements being made at the venue for the people. Mr Rey also looked into the arrangements made for climbing up and coming down the dias and entry and exit points which have been erected at the venue.
He directed the officials involved in security to make sure that without a pass or valid permission no one will be allowed to enter the venue. A total of three stages are being constructed at the venue. On one stage VVIPs will be seated, while the other stage will be for MLAs and on the third stage, the Governor will administer the oath of office to the Chief Minister and his cabinet colleagues.
It is being expected that more than 10,000 people will be present at the venue to witness the oath-taking ceremony. The administration is making the stages of water proof to ensure that even rainfall does not create obstacles.
