Local JMM leader shot dead in Mandar over land dispute

Ranchi: District vice president of JMM Subodhnand Tiwari was shot dead by unidentified gunmen at Mudma village under Mandar Police Station area of this district.

Police said that the man was shot in the head from close range due to which he died on the spot. Police said that the deceased was standing near his car when he was approached by a couple of men who immediately shot him in head and fled from the spot. Before the people could understand anything Tiwari had died. The criminals later fled towards Ranchi by firing in the air.

Ranchi Rural SP Rishabh Jha along with Khelari DSP Manoj Kumar reached on the spot and inquired into the incident. The SP said that the initial investigation point towards land dispute is the reason for killing however the incident was being probed from all possible angles.
