Double murder in Palamu

Daltonganj : A man and a woman in their forties were found murdered in Bedanikhurd village under Tarhasi Police Station area of the Palamu district.

The deceased have been identified as Raghuwasia Devi (40) and Suresh Paswan (45). Both of them were neighbours and lived in the same village.

Villagers said that the duo were involved in an extra marital affair for the last many years moreover the husband of the woman was mentally challenged. The woman and the man who were killed use to make a living by working as labourers.

The body of the couple was found on the same bed police said adding that both of them were killed using sharp edged weapons.

Police quoting villagers said that since the couple were involved in the affair for the past many years therefore murder over this illicit relationship does not appear to be prime reason, however the matter was being probed from all possible angles.
