Ranchi: Couple of ultras of the PLFI have been arrested from Tupudana OP of this district who had come to collect a levy of Rs 50 lakh from a company executing a railway line project in the area.
The arrested ultras have been identified as Niranjan Bando and Amrut Kispotta. Arms and cartridges have been also recovered from them.
Police said that both the ultras had reached Balsiring to collect the levy when police was alerted and the duo were nabbed. However some of the other associates managed to flee.
Niranjan Bando is a hardcore ultra of the Khunti district. He was earlier in the PLFI squad led by Dinesh Sahu but later joined the squad led by Jetha Kachap. More than 15 cases are registered against him in different police stations area of Khunti district
