Development of urban and rural areas should be on similar parameters: Munda

Dumka: Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda said that development of urban and rural areas should be on similar parameters than only holistic development of the people living in that area can be ensured.

Addressing a meeting with intellectuals here he said that through dialogue only issues can be sorted out and the process of holding dialogue should always continue. He also stressed on the need to understand the needs of the villages.

He said that despite 70 years of Independence the villages dominated by the tribals are dominated by different types of problems over which serious thinking should be done.

He said that there was a need to seriously study the problems and find their solutions and said that in this direction the experience of the old age people can be used.

Mr Munda said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi work was being done for all round development of all the sections of the society and termed that it was indeed unfortunate that even after 70 years of Independence the villages were without toilets.
