Chief Secretary reviews functioning of industries department

Ranchi: Chief Secretary DK Tiwari reviewed the functioning of the industries department during which he asked the officials to move forward with such innovative ideas that are in the interest of the common people.

Over the training in different trends, he said that when the common people will be kept in its center that it will be more beneficial and said that main purpose of the scheme should be assessed on the fact as to how many jobs were created with the training or self employment started.

He asked the officials to the department to use the boards and corporations in the interest of the department and make them profitable and if needed one or two may be clubbed. He also asked them to do an analysis of the benefits of these for the common people during which the increase in income and the employment generated should be kept in mind. Mr Tiwari said that on the basis of output the staff should be kept.

He said that instead of implementing the schemes in every block and district it should be assessed as to whether they can become more beneficial which can be decided on the basis of the available raw material, labour and markets. The Chief Secretary directed to accord special focus on the plastic park as there was tremendous employment opportunities in this sector.

He also directed to improve the infrastructure in the Adityapur Industrial Sector and keep an eye on the single window system. Additional Chief Secretary of the Finance Department K K Khandelwal expressed concern over the rising incidents of bank fraud and asked the departments to close their unnecessary bank accounts and said that regular monitoring should be done of all the bank accounts.

He said that the banks have been also alerted that they should inform immediately in case of any suspicious activity in the government accounts.
