Ranchi: CPI-ML’s national general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya has voiced his support for the students of JNU and said that cheap and quality education was very important for the country.
Addressing the press after releasing the first list of party candidates for the polls in Jharkhand he said that Modi Government wants to destroy JNU model and implement ‘Jio Model’ in the education system.
He said that if NRC is implemented across the country than 5 crore people will be removed as citizens and demanded that during the Parliament Session the entire opposition should unitedly oppose the government.
He claimed that in the name of NRC in Assam 19 lakh people have been kept in detention camps where 27 have lost their lives and accused Home Minister Amit Shah of creating terror.
He said that there was no scene of an alliance between the other opposition parties in the state as many rounds of talks failed to give any result.
He said that the left parties will try to make sure that they do not field candidates against each and strongly contest the polls.
