Gumla: The Child Development and Planning Officer of Basia block has been caught red-handed as she was accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000 from a sevika.
The arrested CDPO Aparna Karmakar was later taken by the team of the ACB to Ranchi.
A complaint against her was registered by Alexia Barla who was selected as an anganwadi seviak for Konebir Nawatoli.
In her complaint, Barla had said that the CDPO was demanding a bribe of Rs 50,000.
Post the verification of the complaint the ACB laid a trap and arrested the woman as soon as the cash exchanged the hands.
