Chief Election Commissioner holds meet with CS and DGP

Ranchi: A high-level team of the election commission led by Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora held a review meeting with the senior officials of the state including Chief Secretary DK Tiwari and DGP Kamal Nayan Choubey over poll preparations.

During the meeting, Mr Arora inquired into the facilities being provided to the voters, along with the steps being taken to conduct free, transparent and peaceful polls and security arrangements that are being put into place. The official pointed out that all the machinery involved in the election process have been given due instructions.

Mr Arora directed the officials to make all arrangements to organise the polls in a peaceful manner and asked them not to make any compromise over transparency in the election process as the commission wanted to ensure free and fair polls in Jharkhand. He also held a meeting with the nodal officers of the enforcement agencies of the central and the state government.
