
Daltonganj/Chatra: With the issue of notification for the first phase of elections in the state the process of filing of nominations has commenced on 13 seats of the Jharkhand Assembly however on the first day no nominations were filed in these two districts but a total of 19 nomination papers were sold.
The Palamu district is home to five Vidhan Sabha seats where polling will be held in the first phase. The seats included Panki, Daltonganj, Bishrampur, Chhatarpur (SC) and Hussainabad.
On the first day, a total of 17 nomination papers have been sold across these five seats.
Prominent among those who have purchased the nomination papers on these seats included Anju Singh, Ghuran Ram, Sashibhushan Mehta, Virendra Kushwaha etc.
A report from Chatra said that two nomination papers have been sold for the seat. Voting on these seats will be held in the first phase on November 30.
