First randomisation of EVM-VVPAT held

Ranchi: District electoral officer Rai Mahimpet Rey undertook the first randomisation of EVM and VVPAT during which representatives of the recognised national parties, ROs of all the Assembly areas and Deputy electoral officer were present.

The district electoral officer said that after the first randomisation it has been decided as to which number BU CU/VVPAT will be sent to which assembly areas and which machines will be kept reserved. He said that as per the rules of the election commission the randomisation has been done.

Mr Rey said that in the second randomisation it would be decided that on which booth a certain EVM VVPAT will be sent. After the process of first randomisation representatives of all the political parties were given a copy of the randomisation.
