Hazaribagh: A bus caught fire at Badkitand under Barkatha Police Station area of this district.
However, the driver of the vehicle acted promptly and parked the bus at the roadside which enabled all the occupants to climb down safely.
By the time the flames of the bus were doused it had been completely gutted into the fire.
Travellers said that the bus was on its way to Kolkata from Patna when the incident took place.
A police team which later arrived on the spot sent the people to their destination through another bus. Police said that since the bus was travelling a long distance without any stoppage, therefore, the tyres got heated up and caught fire.
