Chatra: The district police have seized 10 kilograms of opium from Sijuwa Mode under the Pratappur Police Station area of this district.
Police said that a group of three smugglers were on their way to sell the opium when suddenly they saw a police party approaching towards them after which they left their bike in the middle and fled towards the forest.
Upon searching the vehicle 10 kilograms of opium were found which was also seized along with the vehicle.
Police said that the cost of opium was estimated to be worth Rs 10 lakh. He said that the smugglers have been identified and soon they would be behind wars
