State adds 6.36 lakh new voters, 2.26 crore voters to elect 81 MLAS

Ranchi: A total of 2,26,17,612 voters will elect the 81 MLAs in the state when polls for the Vidhan Sabha will be held in the state during the months of November-December. 

In January 2019 the total number of voters was 2,19,81,172 which means that in the course of the eight months 6.36 lakh new voters have been added to the list.

During the Lok Sabha polls out of the total population 57.85 per cent population was eligible to vote which has now increased to 59.53 per cent.

According to latest figure released by the election commission of the state the number of VIP voters has increased from 29690 to 29792.

Overall the number of male voters in the state stood at 1,181,16,098 and the number of female voters was 1,08,01,274.
