Ranchi: A team of the Central Election Commission will be visiting the state on a one day trip any day between October 20-22 to assess the poll preparations in the state.
In wake of the assembly polls, the visit of the team has assumed significance as once it goes back after holding discussions with all the stakeholders it will be announcing dates for the polls in the state.
As per the sources if the commission decides to conduct the election in two phases than the date will be announced after Chhath and if it decides to go for a five-phase election than dates it will announce them after Diwali. In all probability, the dates for the elections in the state will be declared after October 25.
Earlier on October 11, the Election Commission had held a video conferencing with the chief electoral officer of the state to assess the poll preparations.
