Congress organises Dusshera Milan Samaroh

Ranchi: The Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee organised a Dusshera Milan function at the party office here which was attended by a large number of party leaders and workers.

Those in attendance included JPCC chief Dr Rameshwar Oraon, former Union Minister Subodh Kant Sahai, senior leaders Anandi Brahm, Rana Sangram Singh, Geetashree Oraon etc.

Speaking on the occasion Mr Oraon said that Congress was a big family, therefore, it was decided to organise the function so that people could come together and celebrate the festivities like in any other family.

He said that the party has commenced its preparations in full swing for the upcoming Assembly polls and was trying to ensure its reach to each and every voter in the state. He said that the party has also lined up a series of meetings and programmes and earlier it held a meeting with district unit chiefs.

He said that party will now organise divisional level meetings starting with Latehar on October 17, Bokaro October 21, Jamtara on October 22 and Chaibasa on October 23.

Mr Oraon said that each and every Congress worker was standing together to win the assembly polls whereas the Chief Minister was out seeking the blessings of the people which he was unfortunately not receiving.
