Ranchi: The Ranchi district administration on Thursday has directed cinema halls and multiplex running in the city to show the video clippings regarding voter awareness camping.
Jharkhand will go to the assembly poll in November and December this year. The Election Commission of India is likely to announce the dates of the poll by end of this month. Ranchi district administration held a meeting with owners of cinema halls and multiplex regarding voter awareness camping on Thursday.
“ The cinema halls and multiplex have been asked to show the video clippings provided by the election commission every day on different time slots. The cinema hall and multiplex owners have agreed to show the video clips” says a
press release of the Ranchi district administration.
The cinema halls/multiplex will give rebates in tickets on polling day to voters. The only condition is that the voters will have to show their ink put by officials during voting.
