Raghubar launches Shram Shakti Abhiyaan in state

Saraikela-Kharsawan: Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that for the government was working for development and prosperity of Jharkhand and ensuring that development reaches to the last person in the last line of society and in this connection, in order to secure the future of workers of unorganised sector and laborers working in the field of building construction and their families the Shram Shakti Abhiyaan has been launched.

“Today is the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay. He was a great man who gave the message of Integral Humanism to the world when communism and capitalism failed. He wanted the prosperity of every section of society. Today the entire nation is proud of Pandit Deendayalji,” he said.

The Chief Minister said that the Shram-Shakti Abhiyan has started from today, which will end on October 2 on Gandhi Jayanti.

During this period, the laborers of the unorganized sector like vegetable vendors, rickshaw pullers, handcart drivers, agricultural laborers as well as laborers working in the field of building construction will be registered for free and for this, camps will be organised in all blocks and cities.

The objective behind the registration of laborers is to provide them a safe environment to get the benefit of welfare schemes, he said. Mr Das directed the Principal Secretary of Labor, Planning and Training Department to instruct the Deputy Commissioners to hold meetings with the operators of the factories and businessmen of real estate.
