Army Chief says normalcy has slowly returned to the valley

Ramgarh: Army Chief General Bipin Rawat said that after the removal of Article 370 peace and normalcy are returning back in Jammu and Kashmir and the army was working night and day to ensure that the common people do not have any problems.

He said that the problems of the people have been solved to a large extent and the people were coming out of their homes to undertake daily businesses.

General Rawat said that curfew-like situation was not prevailing in the valley. The Army Chief said that the Indian Army was being modernized in every aspect.

He said that the quality of army training is also being developed and added that modern arms are also being provided to the army. General Rawat said that the army was strong in every sector.

The Army Chief was in Ramgarh to participate in color presentation ceremony to two young battalions of the Punjab Regiment 29 Punjab and 30 Punjab.

Adding further he said that the Punjab Regiment was one of the oldest and biggest infantry regiment of the country and the regiment has set many records before the Independence and in the wars which took place after the Independence of the country.

The Army General despite the heavy rainfall inspected the parade and participated in the color presentation function. He will remain in the Punjab Regimental Center for two days during which he will be participating in many functions.
