Tired of acts of Dhullu Mahto, Couple tries to commit suicide in front of DC office in Dhanbad

Dhanbad: BJP’s Baghmara MLA Dhullu Mahto is once again in the news after a couple tried to commit suicide in front of the DC office here accusing the MLA of getting the man removed from the job.

The couple who along with their other family members reached the DC office and tried to commit suicide by pouring kerosene on themselves and setting on fire but were prevented by the police personnel on the spot. Later the duo was called by DC Amit Kumar and Rural SP Aman Kumar to explain their grievances.

The man identified as Akhtar Hawari said that he worked in outsourcing company as a driver and use to get a salary of Rs 15,000 but he was given only Rs 9,000 as the remaining six thousand was kept by the MLA and when he protested the MLA made sure that the outsourcing company removed him from the job.

He alleged that due to the pressure of the MLA he was not being able to find a job in any other place. The man said that his wife is ill and her treatment has been stopped due to the lack of money and moreover the studies of his children have also stopped.

He said that the family was on the verge of starvation due to the lack of money and this was being done by the MLA, therefore, the family was left with no option but to commit suicide.
