Complete development of Shaheed Grams priority for state government: Barnwal

Ranchi: Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Sunil Kumar Barnwal said that complete development of the villages of the martyrs is a priority for the state government.

Chairing a high level review meeting with the DCs through video conferencing during which he reviewed the progress in implementation of various schemes Mr Barnwal said by developing these villages as model villages an example has to be set before the society.

He asked the DCs to develop these villages into model villages within a month and apart from development of infrastructure steps should be also taken for employment, education, drinking water, healthcare, agriculture, child development, skill development and women empowerment.

He said that in these villages paver block roads, street lights, golden cards distribution should be ensured 100 percent. He said that providing quality education to children in these villages was a priority for the state government and it should be also ensured that hundred percent presence of children in schools should be ensured and they should be also provided skill development training.

Dr Barnwal said that farmers in the model villages should be encouraged to take up organic farming and they should be trained in modern techniques as it will create employment opportunities for them. He also asked the DCs to regularly visit the areas.

He said that all those farmers who fulfill the criteria under pm Kisan mandhan Yojana should be provided the first installment of funds as soon as possible and directed that entry of the farmers should be ensured at the nearest common service centre.

Dr Barnwal said that through PM Kisan Mandhan Yojana and Mukhyamantri Krishi Ashirwad Yojana 35 lakh farmers have to be covered for which the agriculture department was working with dedication.

In the meeting, Agriculture Secretary Pooja Singhal said that in the execution of PM Kissan Mandhan Yojana Jharkhand ranked second in the country and said that the speed in which the work was being executed in the state there was no doubt that Jharkhand would be the top performer in providing the benefits to the farmer under PM Kisan Yojana.
