Owaisi attacks state government over mob lynching and other issues

Ranchi: AIMIM supremo and MP Asaduddin Owaisi took potshots at Raghubar Das government of the state over the Konar Canal fiasco which was damaged in less than 12 hours of its inauguration and said that the country faces real danger from ‘mouses’ and not Muslims.

Addressing a public meeting at Bariyatu during his first visit to the state he said that in Jharkhand the mouses lead to the breaking of a dam, therefore, the country faces real danger from them and not from the Muslims.

The Konar Canal project which was inaugurated by the state government amid much fanfare ended up in an embarrassment as a section of the canal got broken in Bagodar. In its first reaction, the state government had blamed the mouse for the damage caused to the canal.

Striking a note with the minority population he said that those who call you Bangladeshi are themselves selling the power meant for the people. His reference was to the Adani Power Plant of Godda district from where power will be exported to Bangladesh.

Despite the rainfall, a huge crowd had turned up at the venue to listen to the AIMIM chief who is one of the fiercest critics of the BJP and the RSS. Since the elections are just couple off months away in Jharkhand Owaisi also tried to play the tribal card by heaping praise on Jaipal Singh Munda.

On the occasion, he did announce that his party will contest the upcoming assembly elections in the state.
