Will not allow JMM and Congress to loot Santhal Pargana: Raghubar

Sahebganj: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that the Santhal Pargana gave three Chief Ministers to the state but instead of developing the region they worked for their own development and did not worry about the people.

Addressing a public meeting as part of is Johar Jan Aashirwad Yatra he said that these parties who believe in the politics of family and dynasty politics left the residents of Santhal Pargana in Gods hand but now the JMM and the Congress will not be allowed to loot the region as both these parties have only misled the people.

He said that these parties took the vote of the people and they themselves went on to become Crorepatis and asked the people to give a befitting reply to such forces during the Vidhan Sabha polls of 2019.

The multi-model port terminal in Sahebganj will give a new identity to Sahebganj and Jharkhand he said adding that the entire area is giving a new alternative to the people in the area of water transport and has brought development in the area as it would create direct and indirect employment for thousands of people. He said that on a war footing during the last five years work has been done to provide drinking water power and toilets in the homes of Sahebganj.

The Chief Minister said that it gives him a similar satisfaction by coming to the Santhal Pargana region like a child who sits in the lap of his mother and said that he was committed for the development of the area.

Mr Das said that he too comes from a poor family and has a led a life of poverty therefore he understood the pain of the poor and after taking oath as the chief minister of the state he had taken up pledge to remove poverty from the state and in the last five years through his works he has been also able to achieve success.

He said that despite being a rich state poverty was rampant in Jharkhand and in the last five years many steps have been taken for poverty removal and efforts are being made to make it a strong and progressive state as the state government wanted to bring Jharkhand on par with the other developed states of the country in the next five years.

He said by following the mantra of Sabka Sabka Vikas the government was ensuring the development of all sections of the society.
