
Ranchi: The left parties in the state have decided to contest on 50 Assembly seats in the upcoming Vidhan Sabha elections if a consensus fails to built among the other opposition parties in the state.
A decision in this regard was taken in the meeting of the left parties which was held at the CPI office here. In the meeting, it was said that to defeat the BJP there was a need to conduct a joint campaign and unite the people against the anti-people policies of the state government.
The left leaders also expressed their concern over the present economic crisis in the country and claimed that the government was spending with both hands the hard-earned money of the people and public sector companies and factories are being closed.
They said that the country was going through the phase of privatization and the merger of the banks has created economic loss to the nation.
The left leaders demanded that the government should come forward with economic reforms for the sake of the welfare of the people and on all these issues it was decided that all the Divisional headquarters on October 12th a public awareness campaign and on October 16 in Ranchi a big convention will be held.
