By use of Hindi language India can become Vishwa Guru: Chief Minister

Ranchi: Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that with the use of Hindi India can become the Vishwa Guru as the own language was a symbol of development.

Addressing a program organized at the project building on the occasion of Hindi Diwas function he said use of self language will create the road for become a respectful nation and said that use of the own language was one of the main reasons for development of any nation.

Mr Das said he was not advocating that people should not use other languages and they should be also respected and it was due to this reason the state government has accorded the status of second language status to Santhali, Bangla, Mundari, Ho, Khadiya, Magahi, Bhojpuri, Maithali, Angika etc as language links the people with the government.

The Chief Minister on the occasion announced that within three months a foundation will be laid to set up a Hindi Bhawan for the lovers of the language, authors and poets. He said that the state government wanted to provide a correct platform to the authors, poets and writers who want to hold discussions and participate in other programs.

He asked the Personnel and Rajbhasha department that from next year the Hindi Diwas function should be organized in the evening at Morhabadi grounds so that the people are able to enjoy the Kavi Sammelan and government is also successful in giving a platform to young poets.

Mr Das said that in the era of globalization, commercialization of education and healthcare sector has taken place due to which use of English language has increased and even at that time no one paid attention towards this in government schools. He said that the state government was working to provide quality education in government schools.

Mr Das directed the department to write a letter to private institutions asking them to encourage use of Hindi language in their correspondence. Mr Das said that if the orders from the various departments are in English than for translation in Hindi translators should be appointed on contract and they should be paid honorarium so that the order can also reach to the people in Hindi however the state government was trying to do maximum work in Hindi.
