Chamber polls: Instead of online offline polls to be held

Ranchi: The annual elections of the Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries will be held on Sunday after the elections scheduled earlier on September 8 were cancelled due to technical flaws.

A press conference in this regard was organised by the election committee of the chamber in which co-chairman Pawan Sharma said that the election was cancelled on September 8 due to problems in the router and server.

He said that the election will be held on Sunday again for which all preparations have been made. He said that keeping mind the problems of the people this time the elections will be held in offline mode. He said that through a computer the voters will be able to select their candidate of choice after which ballot paper will be printed which will be deposited by the members.

He said that meeting of the candidates was held on September 10 in which different aspects were discussed and than the decision was taken. Chairman Bishnu Budhiya said that Rajeev Sahai of Script IT Solution has decided to keep himself away from the election process however as the time was less his help was taken.

Budhiya said that some of the candidates had raised their objections over script IT solution and the arrangement of the computer will be made by the agency however the volunteers will be CA and company secretary. He said that people of the agency will bring the pamphlet but the main election work will be done by CA and company secretary. Pankaj Makkad and Sandeep Jalan will be looking after the arrangements.
