Giridih: Child Development and Planning Officer of Giridih Sadar Suman Gupta along with her driver were seriously injured in an accident which took place at Pandeydih under Pirtand Police Station area of this district.
Police said that she was going to Giridih from Chas when the accident took place. The driver of the vehicle lost control to avert a collision with a speeding pick up van coming from the opposite end and ended up hitting a tree.
The official and the driver were later rushed to the Sadar Hospital for treatment.
