Retired revenue staff murdered in Giridih, two arrested

Giridih: Unidentified assailants killed a retired revenue staff at Bodo under Panchamba Police Station area of this district.

The deceased Alibakhth Miyan was shot dead in the wee hours of the day following which police took into custody his lover Sunita Devi and her son Pappu Das.

Police said that during the wee hour's someone gave a call to Alibakhth and soon as he opened the window the criminals shot a couple of bullets into his head and fled from the spot. He was taken to the Sadar Hospital where he was declared dead by the doctors.

The man had retired as circle inspector of Birni area. He was having an affair with Sunita for the last 10 years and had promised to give her Rs 10 lakh post his retirement over which there was a dispute between his first wife and Sunita.
