Technical issues forces cancelling of Jharkhand Federation of Commerce and Industry polls

Ranchi: Due to technical issues the elections to Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industry was cancelled and the new dates of the elections will be announced later.

Though yet to be officially announced a discussion on the new dates will be taken on Monday and within next week once again voting will be held. Due to slowness of the system and some technical issues, the elections were stopped.

Later a discussion was held among the former presidents of the federation officially the elections were cancelled. Sources familiar with the development said soon a new schedule will be declared. Earlier the voting had commenced at 9 AM at the Marwari Bhawan.

The voting was supposed to continue till 5.30 PM and results were expected late night however the technical flaws forced the cancellation of the polls. Meanwhile by the time the polls were called off 900 voters had cast their votes.
