Modi to launch Kissan Mandhan Yojana from Jharkhand on Sept 12

Ranchi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be launching another ambitious scheme Kissan Mandhan Yojana from the state on September 12. Joint Secretary of the Government of India Vivek Aggarwal during a review meeting held here said that in the programme more than one Lakh farmers are expected to participate.

He said that the enrolment of the farmers under the scheme is being done through common service centres. He said that 10,000 CSC are functioning in the state and a target has been set to enroll 50 farmers each day. He said that the government of India was working through different mediums to benefit the farmers.

He said that first the Aadhar cards of the farmers coupled with bank account details is being registered at the CSC, apart from that the Mukhiyas are also linking the farmers with this scheme, thirdly under Ayushman Bharat Yojana the cards are being made and during that the beneficiaries of PM Kissan Yojana are being identified and they are being registered under Mandhan Yojana and instructions have been issued to the DCs in this regard while fourthly at panchayat level camps are being organised for registration of farmers.

Mr Aggarwal said that the state government can also take the login id and password of the CSC and can do the registration from it’s own agency so that more farmers can be registered. He said that during the event a short film will be also shown and certificates to 7 farmers will be given by the Prime Minister. Those present on the occasion also included Agriculture Secretary Pooja Singhal, Agriculture Director Chhavi Ranjan and others.
