Chief Secretary reviews preparations in wake of PM’s visit

Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Secretary DK Tiwari reviewed the preparations in wake of the visit of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi scheduled on September 12.

The Prime Minister will be in the state capital for about two hours during which he will lay foundation inaugurate and launch 5 schemes and projects and address the people at the Prabhat Tara Grounds. In the meeting which was held at the project building every finner details related to his arrival and departure was discussed.

The Chief Secretary laid stress on the fact such arrangements should be made so that common people should not face any problem. He said that arrangements for signage and other facilities should be maintained. Mr Tiwari said that more than one lakh people are expected to participate in the event.

He said that the Prime Minister will be reaching Ranchi at 11 am and will be going straight to the Vidhan Sabha premises and will also view the newly constructed building and interact with the MLAs in the central hall of the parliament and on this occasion he will also issue a stamp on the special day.

From the Vidhan Sabha, he will reach to the Prabhat Tara grounds and participate in the main function. The new Vidhan Sabha building has been constructed at a cost of Rs 465 crore and is spread across 39 acres and is equipped with all modern facilities.

The Prime Minister will also be launching the Kissan Mandhan Yojana under which a sms will be sent on the mobile of the farmers. He said that farmers of Jharkhand will be also present in the programme. Under the Mandhan Yojana small and marginalised farmers who would cross 60 years will get Rs 3000 as monthly pension. Farmers in the age group of 18-40 years age group can become member of the scheme by paying the premium for the scheme.

The Prime Minister will also via online mode inaugurate Ekalvya schools from the state

The scheme will be implemented in blocks which has atleast 20,000 tribal population and these schools from classes 6 to 12 a total of 480 students will be taught and on per students a sum of Rs 1.09 lakh will be spent. In 69 blocks the Ekalvya Schools will be opened and before March 2020 23 schools will be opened. Land for the school has been provided and a sum of Rs 524 crore has been sanctioned.

The Prime Minister will also inaugurate the multi model terminal built in Sahebganj and interact with the people through online mode. The project has been completed at a cost of Rs 299.10 crore and is also linked with rail and road route. From the port every year 1.07 million tonnes of stone chips and 1 million tonnes of coal will be transported and employment will be generated for 2500 people.

After the new Vidhan Sabha the state will also get it’s new secretariat as foundation will be laid by the Prime Minister. The building which will be made in East and West Block will be equipped with all modern facilities for which a sum of Rs 1566.69 crore has been approved and the building will be constructed in an area of 23 lakh 60,000 square feet area.
