
Ranchi: Chief Minister Raghubar Das has directed to form a revolving fund so that the Anganwadi workers can get a regular honorarium.
He said that the women working in the Anganwadi centers are not able to get regular honorarium and if a revolving fund will be present than by its mean if needed honorarium can be paid to them.
He also directed the officials to bring a proposal in the next cabinet meeting so that the Anganwadi workers can be provided the benefits of the Pradhan Mantri Jivan Jyoti Yojana and Pradhanmantri Suraksha Bima Yojana.
A couple of days earlier the Chief Minister had directed to form a committee headed by the Development Commissioner to take a call on increasing the honorarium of the Anganwadi workers.
The other members of the committee included Additional Chief Secretary of the Finance Department and Departmental Secretary. He had also directed that the age limit for promotion as lady supervisor be increased.
In his further orders, he had said that without knowing the side of the workers they will not be removed from the work and even during the time of the strike as per the rules they will be given the honorarium.
Mr Das said that Anganwadi plays an important role in the growth of the children. He said that campaign against malnutrition was on in the state and urged the Anganwadi workers to come forward and play their active role to remove malnutrition from the state.
Those present on the occasion included Development Commissioner Sukhdeo Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Finance KK Khandelwal and others.
