RMC employees on strike in support of their 5 point demands

Ranchi: In support of their five point demands the employees of the Ranchi Municipal Corporation went on a strike impacting work at the corporation.

The employees said that one month ago they had written to the Secretary of the Urban Development Department and Town Commissioner that if their demands will not be met then they would go on strike from September 5 and as neither the corporation nor the government took their demands seriously they were forced to go on strike.

The employees also staged a sit down outside the gate of the RMC which hit the common people as works related to birth and death certificates, holding tax, mutation, clearing of maps and those related to sewerage and drainage has been hit. The agitators said that the strike will continue till their demands are met.
