Government realizing schemes on ground: Speaker Dinesh Oraon

Gumla: Assembly Speaker Dinesh Oraon said that the state government was realising the schemes on the ground.

Addressing the South Chottanagpur division level gathering of Ujjwala Didis here he said all needed to fulfill their responsibilities with dedication. He said that under Ujjwala Yojana free LPG cylinders and gas stoves was being provided to the beneficiaries.

He said that without any discrimination the government was providing benefits of Ujjwala Yojana Ayushman Bharat Yojana Mukhyamantri Krishi Aashirwad Yojana to the needy.

Mr Oraon said that the dream of development is now being realised on the ground and also urged the Chief Minister to form press club in every district including one in Gumla.

Rural Development said that such types of events did not take earlier and said that if Jharkhand has to be made a developed state than empowerment of the women was a must and even the state government was working in this regard.

He said the aim of the Ujjwala Yojana is also empowerment of the women as on one direction it will make them free from smoke and on the other side lead to environment protection as conserving the environment has become very important. He said that in Gumla district benefits of Ujjwala Yojana has to reach to 4.84 lakh homes built under PMAY.

Vice chairman of 20 point programme state level implementation committee Rakesh Prasad said that prior to 2014 the LPG connections percent was 25 only which has now reached to 77 percent. He said that through 1001 Ujjwala panchayats gas connections are being provided to the beneficiaries.

Mr Prasad said that so far 33 lakh beneficiaries have been provided benefits of Ujjwala Yojana and in the remaining days another 10 lakh people will also be provided its benefits. He said that the present state government constructed 40 lakh toilets to make the state ODF.

Those present on the occasion also included Lohardaga MP Sukhdeo Bhagat, many MLAs and administrative and police officials.
