Maoists Menace in Jharkhand: 77 hardcore Maoists giving tough time to security agencies

Ranchi: Despite the nonstop anti-insurgency operations on in the state against the Maoists in state there are 77 such Maoists who have become a headache for the security forces who are involved in these battles.

In anti-insurgency operations in Jharkhand 122 companies of CRPF, 5 of IRB and 40 companies of Jharkhand Jaguar are involved. The Jharkhand Police claims that there are only 550 Maoists in the state and despite such a large contingent of security forces involved in the battle with the Maoists they are yet to be wiped out.

By executing incidents of big or small scale the Maoists keep making their presence felt. The three key outfits including CPI Maoists, PLFI and TPC have though weakened in the state and they have lost ground in many of their strongholds thanks to nonstop anti-insurgency operations
