Jansamwad Review: Take quick action in cases of witchcraft: Ramakant

Ranchi: Special Secretary of the Chief Minister’s Office Ramakant Singh called for immediate action on the cases related to witchcraft so that crimes related to this social evil can be removed from the society.

The instructions from Mr Singh followed during the weekly review of the Jansamwad programme at the Suchana Bhawan where a woman from Bengabad of Giridih district had complained that in the name of witchcraft she was being harassed. In this case, despite an FIR no arrests have been made over which IG to DGP Sams Tabrez directed the Giridih DSP to take necessary action and arrest the guilty so that a strong message can be sent to the society.

Over a complaint from Patmada block of East Singhbhum district regarding non functioning of a solar pump on in Indradandh village since 2016 the executive engineer of the drinking water and sanitation department said that the pump has been repaired over which the special secretary directed the nodal officer to once again verify the facts and take action if the report of the engineer appears to be false.

Over another complaint related to the non-functional motor of a water tower in Nirsa block’s Khairkiyari village, he directed the executive engineer to ensure that the pump is repaired within 15 days.

Over complaint of non-supply of water in Bhojudih village of Chandankiyari block of Bokaro district since 2017, the district nodal officer assured that water supply will commence in a day or two.
