State gears up for World tribal Day celebrations on Friday

Ranchi: The world tribal day will be celebrated across the state amid much fanfare and in the state capital Ranchi many organizations will be organizing different events as part of the functions which would include processions.

Joint procession by the tribal organizations will be taken out in the morning from the Sainik market to the convocation wonder of the Ranchi college. In the padyatra program tribals rest in their traditional attires and along with their musical instruments will be participating and after reaching at the venue cultural program and a public meeting will be held.

During the day of the procession would also be taken out on the bikes and Statue of the great men hailing from the tribal community would be garlanded. The Kendriya Sarna Samiti will be taking out a pad yatra from Albert Ekka Chowk to Samadhi Sthal of Bhagwan Birsa Munda at Kokar.

A seminar will also be held at the regional department of the Ranchi University in which the teachers, authors and historians and researchers will be participating. A felicitation function will be also at Gossner College. Further, a discussion will also be organized at St Xavier’s College and a series of other programs are also scheduled on the occasion.
