Ranchi: Lok Sabha MP Sanjay Seth raised questions over the development of sports under the Skill India Mission and sought to know from the concerned ministry what was its plan for the development of sports in the country.
Replying to the question Union Minister of State for Skill Development R K Singh said that the national skill development mission was established on July 15, 2015, under which ambitious schemes of the central government PMKVY 2016-20 is being executed for which under sports training centers have been developed in various sectors and training is being provided.
He said that some of the key sectors as a fitness instructor, life-saving pool, sports physiotherapist, sports coach and physical instructor. He said that till 12/6/2019 5557 candidates have been trained in the sports sector.
