Pakur: The district police has managed to nab one of the accused who was among the five culprits wanted in connection with the gang rape of the girl belonging to the Paharia primitive tribe group.
Pakur SP Rajeev Ranjan Singh said that the arrested has been identified as Rizwan Ansari who along with his four other associates had raped the victim on July 25 in Singarashi panchayat under Amrapada Police Station area.
On the basis of a sketch which was prepared of the culprits following the details provided by the victim police managed to arrest Ansari who confessed his role in the crime and also revealed the name of his associates. Police were conducting a search to nab the others.
