Dhanbad: Two people lost their lives following a collision between a motorcycle and an SUV at Mohalidih village on the Gobindpur-Sahibganj road under East Tundi Police Station area of this district.
The deceased have been identified as Kamaruddin Ansari (52) and Yasin Ansari (65). Police said that a group of kanwariyas who were traveling in the SUV was coming to Dhanbad when at Mohlidih village a head-on collision took place between both the vehicles due to which the men died on the spot.
As the SUV driver tried to flee from the spot the villagers attacked it with stones and bricks. As the tyre of the vehicle busted the vehicle stood on the road following which a scuffle broke out between the kanwariyas and the villagers however a timely intervention by the police ensured that the situation from flaring further.
