Dhanbad: Sleuths of the Anti Corruption Department arrested a revenue staff posted in East Tundi Circle office of this district while he was accepting a bribe of Rs 3,000.
The arrested has been identified as Ramesh Singh. A complaint against him was registered by one Ramesh Karmkar of Sundarpagadi under East Tundi Police Station area.
The complainant had alleged that the man was demanding a bribe of Rs 9,000 to get the mutation done for a piece of land. After the verification of the complaint, the ACB laid a trap and arrested the man as soon as money exchanged hands.
He was later taken away by the team to Dhanbad.
