Chatra: Couple of children lost their lives as they were drowned in a pond located at Dharti Mandar village under Kunda Police Station area of this district. Police said that the deceased has been identified as Suraj Deo Kumar (6) and Sanjay Kumar (7).
Both of them were playing with their friends during which they moved towards the pond. To relieve themselves from the heat both of them went inside the pond to take a bath however they started drowning.
The other children immediately rushed to the village and informed the family members however by the time the villagers reached and took out the bodies both of them had died.
