The Rotaract Club of St Xavier’s College, Ranchi, organised a blood donation and free eye check-up camp on October 15, 2026, under its Community Service Avenue initiative. Held in collaboration with the college’s Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), the camp was titled ‘Aarogyam’ and ‘Drishti’.

The initiative aimed to promote health awareness among students and members of the public while encouraging voluntary blood donation.

More than 160 students underwent free eye examinations, while over 12 people voluntarily donated blood during the camp. Participants took an active part in the programme, which highlighted the importance of regular eye check-ups and blood donation to support patients in need.

The initiative also sought to encourage students to take greater responsibility for their own health and develop a stronger sense of social responsibility and community service.

Organisers highlighted that voluntary blood donation can help save lives, while timely eye examinations can enable the early detection of vision-related problems and facilitate appropriate treatment.

The programme also underlined the role of student-led initiatives in promoting public health awareness and encouraging young people to contribute to society through meaningful community service.

Through the camp, the Rotaract Club reaffirmed its commitment to humanitarian service, community welfare and social awareness.
