Birhor families living in Birhor Tola near Patthalkudi, under Karma South Panchayat in Mandu block of Ramgarh district, are facing severe difficulties due to an inadequate and irregular water supply from a local water tower.
According to residents, the water tower releases only three to four containers of water at a time, which is insufficient to meet their daily household needs.
The shortage has forced families to depend on wells belonging to other people for water required for cooking and other domestic activities. Residents said the problem has persisted, making routine household chores increasingly difficult.
The affected families have urged the concerned department and district administration to arrange for the water tower to be repaired at the earliest and restore a regular supply. They said timely intervention would help ensure access to sufficient water and spare them the hardship of having to seek water from other sources.
Kishore Birhor, Bablu Birhor, Rajkumar Birhor, Ranjit Birhor and Ashok Birhor have appealed to the authorities to take immediate action to repair the water tower and ensure an uninterrupted supply of drinking water to the settlement.
