Gumla Court Complex Hosts Blood Donation Camp, 92 People Donate Blood

A blood donation camp was organised at the Gumla court complex through the joint efforts of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Gumla, the district administration and the district police.

The camp was organised under the guidance of Principal District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman of DLSA Gumla, Ajit Kumar Singh. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about voluntary blood donation among members of the public as well as judicial officers, advocates and court employees, while also contributing to the availability of blood for patients in need.

Personnel of the District Legal Services Authority, judicial officers, advocates, court employees, police officials, Para-Legal Volunteers (PLVs), district administration staff and other participants took part enthusiastically in the camp and donated blood voluntarily.

On the occasion, Principal District and Sessions Judge Ajit Kumar Singh, Gumla Deputy Commissioner Dileshwar Mahto, Superintendent of Police Harish Bin Jama, DLSA Secretary Ram Kumar Lal Gupta, In-charge Judge Pratik Raj, Civil Surgeon Shambhu Chaudhary and Dr Sunil Kumar, among others, were present.

The officials highlighted the importance of blood donation as a valuable form of social service, noting that a single donation can help save the life of a person in need. They also appealed to people to make voluntary blood donation a regular practice and encourage others to participate.

The successful organisation of the camp was supported by officials of the District Legal Services Authority, district administration, district police and the medical team involved in the programme.

A total of 92 people donated blood during the camp.

At the conclusion of the programme, the organisers expressed their gratitude to all blood donors and those who contributed to the successful conduct of the camp. They also resolved to organise similar public welfare initiatives in the future.
