Santali Language Issues Raised Before CM Hemant Soren by Student Delegation

A delegation of the Jharkhand Santal Students' Union met Chief Minister Hemant Soren to discuss issues concerning the Santali language and place their demands before the state government.

During the meeting, the student representatives drew the Chief Minister's attention to various matters related to the promotion, development and wider use of Santali. They urged the government to take necessary steps to address the concerns raised by the community and strengthen efforts for the preservation and advancement of the language.

The delegation discussed the issues in detail and sought the government's intervention in matters that they said were important for the future of Santali language and its speakers, particularly students and young people.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren heard the representatives and assured them that the issues raised during the meeting would be examined and necessary steps would be taken.

Following the meeting, the student representatives expressed hope that the government's response would lead to concrete action on the issues concerning Santali. They said continued government support would be important for ensuring greater opportunities for the language in education, administration and other areas of public life.
